Dazed says Aries was founded in 2009 by Sofia Prantera and Fergus Purcell, who both studied at Central Saint Martins and met in the 1990s while working at Slam City Skates, a skateboard shop in Shoreditch. Dazed calls Prantera the founder and head designer and says she was born in Rome. Wallpaper* gives the year as 2009 too, saying the label has existed since then. A retailer, Pam Pam London, says Aries came at the turn of the 2010s, when its founders got back together; that is not a founding date and we have used 2009.

We found no source that says who owns Aries or whether it has outside investment.

END. says Aries was conceived as unisex but launched as a women's brand, and that sizing and styles were later expanded to include men. The brand's own site lists tees and tops, jeans, knitwear, coats and jackets, shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, sweatpants, dresses and skirts, plus accessories such as caps, beanies, bags, belts, jewellery, scarves, socks and underwear.

Pam Pam London reports that the brand says the large majority of its production is made in Italy, in small-batch, made-to-order production; the retailer says it has not visited the factories.

Wallpaper* describes Roman-style columns around the Aries logo and a rat motif that has reappeared across the brand's collections, and calls 'No Problemo' a now-ubiquitous slogan. It quotes Prantera describing the identity as a duality, "the idea of the temple and the rat", blending luxury fashion with streetwear. In an END. interview published on 11 August 2021 the aesthetic is described as combining 80s punk with Y2K, and Prantera said that corporate logos have become the new signifiers.

Dazed names collaborations with New Balance, Jeremy Deller, Clarks, Arsenal, Fila and Havana Club. The brand's own site lists partner brands including Sorel, Champion, Salomon, Crocs, Puma, Umbro, Reebok, New Balance, Converse and Le Specs.

Wallpaper* reported that the book Aries Arise Archive arrived in stores on 15 April 2025, covering the label's last ten years. Hero describes it as a 300-page coffee table book published by Rizzoli New York, designed by Johnny Lu with a foreword by Angelo Flaccavento.

Aries sells directly through ariesarise.com, which shows prices in GBP for the United Kingdom and lists no retail stockists or stores. We saw no product prices on the brand's own site, so the price anchors come from a retailer.

Pam Pam London listed the Premium Faded Temple Bomber at about $379, the Pearl Leather Studded Bobby Bag at about $655 and the Column Sock at $30. It also showed the Worn Flock Batten Jean at about $446, marked down from about $635, and the Rag Dye Hooded Windcheater Jacket at about $318, marked down from about $446; those two are sale prices. The USD figures differed by about a dollar between our checks in October 2026, and the listings showed no date. We found no tee or plain hoodie price.
