Who founded Hellstar
Complex names Sean "Seanie" Holland and Joseph "Juice" Pendleton as the founders and says they met as freshmen at Burbank High in 2010. It reports that Pendleton approached Holland about starting a brand during Covid using money from pandemic stimulus checks, with Holland handling graphics and Pendleton production. StockX says the brand was founded in Los Angeles in 2020 and that its name alludes to the notion of finding the bright amongst the dark moments and reflects the founders' religious backgrounds.
We found no source that states who owns the company or whether the founders still do. Bullseye Sneaker Boutique's FAQ says Hellstar products are produced in Los Angeles.
The look and what Hellstar makes
Complex describes bold, all-over flame graphic tees and acid-washed sweats as the brand's defining characteristics, and calls the designs polarizing. StockX calls the screen-printed flame graphic one of the brand's most recognizable visual signatures since its 2020 launch, and says its flame shorts carry the graphic down each leg.
Complex also describes cut-and-sew pieces from Capsule 11, including airbrushed leather jackets and embellished denim shorts, and the Hellstar x Adidas Superstar. StockX's brand page lists denim shorts, cargo shorts, sweatpants and hats among its categories.
Adidas, demand and growth
Complex says the Adidas partnership included an exclusive Hellstar x Adidas Superstar at ComplexCon 2025. It reports that Capsule 10, in 2023, sold $2 million in 30 minutes, that a T-shirt was accidentally listed for $0 on the website and hundreds of customers checked out before the team noticed, and that a Hellstar Sports division focused on youth sports is part of its growth.
Where to buy Hellstar
Complex says Hellstar is stocked by luxury boutiques such as Patron of the New and The Webster and sold at ComplexCon booths and events, and that an exclusive Hellstar x Adidas Superstar was released at ComplexCon 2025. Hypebeast's 13 April 2026 roundup was headlined as new arrivals from HBX. We did not confirm an official online store.
What Hellstar costs
StockX shows retail prices of $120 for the Sports Core gel logo tee in red (released 21 June 2024), $300 for the Studios zip hoodie in red (released 24 September 2024) and $100 for the flame short in pink and white (no release date shown).
Hypebeast's April 2026 HBX roundup gave a price range of $255 to $450 for its listed items, without per-item prices. Stadium Goods listed the HS logo zip-up hoodie in black at $652, without labelling it retail or giving a date. That is a different item and a different kind of listing, so it is not a like-for-like comparison with the retail prices above.
