Who founded Palace Skateboards

Wikipedia lists three founders, Lev Tanju, Gareth Skewis and Marshall Taylor, although its infobox names a single founder, Levent Tanju. Business of Fashion's profile of Lev Tanju lists him as founder of Palace from 2009 to the present and gives his location as the United Kingdom; the page is undated. Hypebeast calls Gareth Skewis a co-founder of Palace Skateboards.

Hypebeast's story starts in a skate house on Lower Marsh Street in Waterloo, London. Skewis told the magazine the name Palace was ironic, and described the house as a borderline squat. Hypebeast does not give a founding year; it calls the brand ten short years old in an article dated 5 August 2020.

Who owns Palace Skateboards

None of the sources we opened says who owns Palace or whether it has outside investors. Wikipedia's infobox gives total equity of US$13 million for 2018 but describes no ownership structure, investors or stake sales.

The look and the logo

Wikipedia says the triangular tri-ferg logo was designed by Fergus Purcell, is a Penrose triangle, and is meant to convey continuous movement. Business of Fashion says Tanju chose Purcell for the logo and identifies him as design director at Marc by Marc Jacobs. Wikipedia describes the brand as heavily influenced by 90s pop culture.

Collaborations

Wikipedia lists collaborations with Umbro (2012), Reebok (2013), adidas (2014) and Stella Artois (2021), and says Nike was announced in October 2025 as a first-time collaboration; it also lists Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren and Moschino without dates. Hypebeast says Ralph Lauren released an 18-piece collection in November 2018, which Skewis described as a love letter to Ralph Lauren's 50 years in business, and that the adidas partnership debuted in 2014 and was described as ongoing in its August 2020 article. Business of Fashion reported on 22 October 2018 that Palace had broken its silence on a collaboration with Polo Ralph Lauren.

Where to buy Palace Skateboards and what it costs

Business of Fashion says Palace was sold only through independent London boutiques at launch, and that Supreme later carried it in New York and Los Angeles; it dates the first monobrand store, in Soho, London, to April 2015 and a New York boutique to May 2017. Palace's own site has a web shop and regional web shops for Australia, Canada, Europe, Japan, Korea, the USA and the world, plus a WeChat Mini Program, and links a Singapore shop; it lists no store addresses.

The prices below are listed on Palace's own shop pages in pounds, with no sale prices shown and no date next to any price; we checked them in October 2026. The Palace Power T-Shirt was £46, the Judge Dredd T-Shirt £48, the MMIX Heavy Slub T-Shirt £58 and the Palace New York Cubans T-Shirt £68. The P100 Super Baggy Jean in black was £148 and the P90 Baggy Stitch Jean in mid indigo £198. The Big Ripstop Jacket in black was £188 and the Recon Jacket in black £268. The Stencil Crew, a crewneck rather than a hoodie, was £118. A Dascar Keyring was £8 and a Tri-Ferg Ashtray £48. We did not find a Palace-site hoodie price.

A StockX retail listing gave the King Tri T-Shirt in black, from SS26 with a release date of 20 March 2026, a retail price of US$48. That is a different currency and a different listing from the shop prices above, so it is not a like-for-like comparison.
