Who founded and owns Sp5der
Wikipedia says the brand was founded by the rapper Jeffery Lamar Williams, known as Young Thug, and Highsnobiety describes it as founded as SP5DER Worldwide in 2019 by Young Thug. Wikipedia's infobox lists the owner as King Spider LLC. Complex has said Young Thug's influence on the brand is unmistakable, while noting that his exact role is still a bit of a mystery.
Wikipedia gives the first public release as hoodies and T-shirts with the SP5DER screen print on July 4, 2019, and says it became a proper fashion brand in 2024.
What the 5 in Sp5der is said to mean
XXL reported that in court in January 2024, YSL co-founder Trontavious Stephens testified that the 5 is for Juice WRLD. The same article says the brand launched a couple of weeks after Juice WRLD's death, in December 2019. We did not find a statement from the brand itself, and Wikipedia dates the first release to July 2019.
What Sp5der makes
The official shop sells tops, bottoms and outerwear, with items such as the Heavy Web sweatpant and Rhinestone Web denim and the Spiderbite track jacket. Highsnobiety says the brand's early history began with a series of sold-out hoodies.
Sp5der showed its Fall/Winter 2024 collection, Nocturnal Highway, at New York Fashion Week on September 8; Complex called it the brand's first runway show, and Highsnobiety counted over three dozen co-ed looks. Complex describes a luxury-meets-punk visual identity.
In February 2026 Complex reported a Sp5der x adidas Supermodified Superstar with a patent leather upper covered in a spiderweb design, scheduled to release first at kingspider.co on February 27 and then globally on March 3 via the adidas Confirmed app, kingspider.co and select adidas stockists.

The brand sells through kingspider.co, which lists prices in US dollars and names no retail stores. On its shop, the Studded OG Logo V2 hoodie was $200, the Now and Forever tee $75, the Studded OG Logo V2 sweatpant $175, Distressed Logo denim $195 and the R-05 camo script bomber $375 (checked October 2026). StockX gives a $200 retail price for the Legacy hoodie released on May 7, 2024.
