Who founded Noah
The brand's About page names Brendon Babenzien and Estelle Bailey-Babenzien as founders. Business of Fashion says Brendon designs the clothing and Estelle designs the interior architecture and spatial experience of the retail stores, and that she holds a BA in Fashion from Central Saint Martins.
Hypebeast calls Babenzien a former Supreme creative director. Business of Fashion says he spent 14 years as Supreme's design director, with a break in 2002 to launch Noah, a return in 2006 and a final departure in 2015 to relaunch Noah. The job title therefore differs by source.
We found no source stating who owns the company.
When was Noah founded
The founding date is reported inconsistently. Hypebeast says the label officially entered the streetwear scene in 2015, and Wikipedia's infobox also lists 2015. Business of Fashion says Babenzien originally founded Noah in 2002, that it was relaunched in May 2015 with a greater sustainability focus, and that it began as a pop-up shop. Highsnobiety's guide says he first showed the label at New York Fashion Week in 2006 before shelving it, and that the current version launched with a Fall/Winter 2015 collection.
Style and what Noah makes
The About page describes the aesthetic as merging the energy of skate, surf and music culture with an appreciation of classic menswear. Highsnobiety describes understated staples with prep, military and nautical influences and late-1980s punk and post-punk references, and notes environmental and political messaging.
Highsnobiety lists herringbone trousers with double pleats, double-breasted jackets, shearling duffle coats and woven leather belts as pieces it associates with the label. The brand's store lists outerwear, sweaters, shirts, tees, pants, denim, accessories and footwear among its categories.
Babenzien does not accept the streetwear label. Highsnobiety's 10-year anniversary piece quotes him saying that calling Noah a streetwear brand was absurd and blaming the media for it. Hypebeast still places it in the streetwear scene.
Values and sustainability
The About page says Noah donates portions of its profits to causes it believes in and joined 1% for the Planet in 2019. Hypebeast says the label takes public stances on social and political issues and uses transparent production practices.
Collaborations
Wikipedia lists a three-phase partnership with adidas Originals: faux-pony hair Gazelles in 2020, track-ready footwear and apparel in 2021, and a final SS22 series that closed it. It also lists collaborations with Jerry Lorenzo, Frog Skateboards, Vuarnet and Dover Street Market. That Wikipedia article is tagged as needing more citations.
Highsnobiety's guide lists a 2015 pop-up with Union LA and Chris Gibbs, a Vans sneaker and a Sperry boat shoe. Hypebeast lists a Barbour Fall/Winter 2025 collaboration of three jackets, dated 9 December 2025. The brand's accessories page lists a Noah x Timex MK1 Anchor watch.
Where to buy Noah
The About page names only the 195 Mulberry St. flagship. Wikipedia lists four retail locations: New York City and Tokyo as flagships, and Los Angeles and London as Dover Street Market stores. Wikipedia also says Noah sells through the Dover Street Market e-shop and releases new products on Thursday mornings, statements that carry no citation there.
Noah sells online at noahny.com. Business of Fashion says Noah adopted the rolling drop model Supreme used, releasing weekly rather than seasonally.
