Brands like CLOT: 6 alternatives, from sneaker-boutique labels to Tokyo streetwear
The closest matches to CLOT, in our view, are Alife, Staple and Undefeated. Like CLOT, which HBX credits with Nike and adidas collaborations, each is described by sources as working with major sneaker brands: Hypebeast lists Nike, Reebok and adidas among Alife's collaborators, Complex covers the Staple x Nike SB Dunk Pigeon, and Sneaker Freaker covers Undefeated's Nike work. No reputable source we found compares these brands to CLOT directly, so the ranking is our judgement.
CLOT is a Hong Kong label that HBX and Hypebeast say Edison Chen and Kevin Poon established in 2003. Prices are the weak spot for any comparison: the only CLOT prices we found are Juice Store listings in Hong Kong dollars, and none of the six picks lists Hong Kong dollars in our records, so we can't say any of them is cheaper like for like.

What 'like CLOT' usually means
In our view, people searching for alternatives tend to want one of three things: a label with a streetwear-store heritage, sneaker and brand collaborations, or an East-meets-West point of view.
Hypebeast describes CLOT as a streetwear label and lifestyle brand that aims to bridge Eastern and Western culture. Kevin Poon said in 2012 that the group visited Tokyo, met brands including Bathing Ape and NEIGHBORHOOD, and then had the idea to open a store. HBX lists collaborators including Disney, Nike and adidas, without dates.
On Juice Store, checked in October 2026 with no date shown, the CLOT World T-Shirt was HK$480 and the Balaclava Zip Hoodie HK$1,680. We found no CLOT price on a page we could confirm as brand-run. We call a pick cheaper only where it lists a comparable item in Hong Kong dollars on an official store; otherwise we say 'no like-for-like price' and show its own prices instead.

The nearest match in our view. Hypebeast says four friends founded Alife in New York in 1999.
What it shares
- Sneaker and brand collaborations: Hypebeast lists Alife collaborations with Nike, Reebok, adidas, New Balance and Timberland among others, and HBX lists CLOT with Disney, Nike and adidas
- A city-scene store: Interview says Alife lost its Orchard Street lease in 2004 and moved to Rivington Street, and Poon described CLOT starting with a store on the second floor of a Causeway Bay building
- A late-1990s to 2000s start: Hypebeast dates Alife to 1999, and HBX dates CLOT to 2003
Where it differs

- Interview ties Alife's look to the Lower East Side, late-1990s skate culture, graffiti and hip-hop, where adidas Originals describes CLOT marrying Chinese traditional motifs with streetwear
- Price vs CLOT
- No like-for-like price. Alife's own site listed Graffitio Sneakers at $2,000.00 USD, all sold out, in October 2026. CLOT's listings are Hong Kong dollars at Juice Store. A sneaker against tees and hoodies, in different currencies, so we do not compare them.

- Price vs CLOT
- No like-for-like price. Undefeated's own site listed the Aux S/S tee at $45 and the Athletics crewneck at $120 as regular prices (checked October 2026). CLOT's tees were HK$480 and its hoodie HK$1,680 at Juice Store. Different currencies, so we do not compare.

Where it differs

A note on dupes and replicas
We don't list replicas or sellers of CLOT look-alikes. In our research we found no source describing counterfeit CLOT or how common it is, so we make no claim about that. In the sources we opened, CLOT was sold through Juice Store; HBX describes JUICE as a retail outlet with branches in Hong Kong, Taipei, Shanghai and Kuala Lumpur, though it does not name Juice Store.
If you want the collaboration-led, East-meets-West feel without CLOT, a genuine alternative is a different brand with its own designs; the picks above were chosen on that basis.
Frequently asked questions
What are the best brands like CLOT?
In our assessment, Alife, Staple and Undefeated come closest: each is described by sources as working with major sneaker brands, as HBX says CLOT does. No source we found compares them to CLOT directly.
Are there cheaper brands like CLOT?
We can't say like for like. The CLOT prices we found are in Hong Kong dollars at Juice Store, such as a tee at HK$480, and none of the picks lists Hong Kong dollars in our records. For reference, Undefeated's site listed a tee at $45 and Corteiz's a tee at £35; the currencies differ, so we do not compare them.
Who founded CLOT, and when?
HBX says Edison Chen and Kevin Poon established CLOT in 2003, and Hypebeast's brand page gives Hong Kong headquarters.
What is CLOT known for?
Hypebeast describes it as a streetwear label and lifestyle brand that aims to bridge Eastern and Western culture. HBX lists collaborators including Disney, Nike and adidas.
Is there a CLOT dupe?
We don't list replicas. We found no source on counterfeit CLOT.
Where is CLOT from?
Hong Kong, per Hypebeast's brand page.
How we chose these brands
We started from the directory's brands and used its style, product and price data to shortlist six whose look, origin or collaboration style overlap with CLOT, keeping only brands for which we had already researched and checked a record. Facts such as founding, ownership and prices come from the numbered sources below, each opened and checked in October 2026. Rankings, 'what it shares' and 'best for' are our editorial judgement: no reputable source we found compares these brands to CLOT directly. Price comparisons are like for like only where we found a comparable item in the same currency from an official store; CLOT's only prices we found are Hong Kong dollars on Juice Store, so we make no cheaper-or-dearer claim. Prices are single snapshots from retailers and brand sites and will change.
