Brands like Represent: 7 alternatives, from cheaper to closest

The closest matches to Represent, in our view, are derschutze, Cold Culture and DRMERS CLUB. All three are founder-led labels: derschutze and Cold Culture grew from an online start into physical stores, and DRMERS CLUB had only an Instagram storefront at the time of the Ivey case study, while Represent grew from a college project to flagships in London, Manchester and Los Angeles. For a more established UK comparison, look at Corteiz.

Represent began as a college project in the Manchester area in 2011, and Drapers reported turnover of £80.8m for the year to 31 December 2023. We've sorted the picks by what you are probably after: a similar founder-led label, a UK rival, or a step up in price.

What 'like Represent' usually means

People searching for alternatives tend to want the look (clean logo tees, hoodies and graphic basics with a premium finish), the story (a founder-led brand that grew from small beginnings) or a different price. Few brands match all three.

Represent says it was founded in 2011 by brothers George and Mike Heaton and lists mainline menswear, womenswear and the 247 performance line. Drapers reports a revenue split of 70% direct-to-consumer and 30% wholesale, with over 150 stockists. The Gentleman's Journal quotes Heaton saying consumers who do not want to spend £1,000 on a hoodie have shopped down to Represent.

On price, HBX listed the Owners Club hoodie at £75, reduced from £160, and Represent's US shop listed caps, including one at $85 and one at $110 (checked October 2026). We found no regular hoodie price from Represent itself, so most price comparisons below are marked as not like for like.

A note on dupes and replicas

We don't list replicas. Represent says it has flagship stores in London, Manchester and Los Angeles and wholesale partners including Selfridges, Harrods and Harvey Nichols, and Drapers counted over 150 stockists, so buying from a named retailer or the brand is the clearer route. We found no source on how Represent handles counterfeits, so we make no claim about it.

A genuine alternative is a different brand with its own designs. The picks above were chosen on that basis: each is a separate brand selling under its own name.

Frequently asked questions

What are the best brands like Represent?

In our assessment, derschutze, Cold Culture and DRMERS CLUB come closest in story: founder-led labels with an online start. Corteiz is the nearest UK comparison.

Are there cheaper brands like Represent?

We could not show this like for like. The Represent figures we found are an Owners Club hoodie at £75 reduced from £160 on HBX and caps, including one at $85 and one at $110, while the alternatives list euros, Canadian dollars or pounds for different garments. Corteiz's zip hoodie is £120 on its own store; Gallery Dept.'s hoodie is $650, which is higher.

Who owns Represent?

The brand was founded by brothers George and Mike Heaton; Drapers names George Heaton as founder and creative director and Paul Spencer as CEO since June 2022. None of the sources we opened says who owns the company or whether it has outside investors.

Is there a Represent dupe?

We don't list replicas. Each brand on this page sells under its own name; we do not list replica sellers.

Where is Represent from?

Manchester, England, according to the brand, which also mentions its beginnings in a backyard shed in Horwich.

How big is Represent?

Drapers reported turnover of £80.8m for the year to 31 December 2023, up 65% year on year. Glossy separately reported $100m in revenue for the year before its April 2024 article; the two figures are in different currencies and are not reconciled.

How we chose these brands

We shortlisted seven brands from the directory whose story, look or price level overlaps with Represent, using only brands whose research records we have completed. Facts such as founding, ownership and prices come from the numbered sources in each brand's research record, opened and checked in October 2026, and the page text was then checked against them by an independent pass. Rankings, 'what it shares' and 'best for' are our editorial judgement: no reputable source we found compares most of these brands to Represent directly. Price comparisons are like for like only where the garment, currency and listing type are comparable; otherwise we say so. Prices are single snapshots from retailers and brand sites and will change.
