Brands like Corteiz: 9 alternatives, from London staples to US hype labels

The closest matches to Corteiz, in our view, are PLACES+FACES, Palace and Represent. All three are British, and Highsnobiety's report on PLACES+FACES' ten-year pop-up in East London names Corteiz among the brands involved. For hype-driven drops and graphic hoodies, look at Sp5der and Hellstar from the US. For puffer jackets, Mertra is the nearest we found. Only PLACES+FACES and, partly, Palace are priced in pounds for comparable items, so they are the only picks we can say anything firm about on price.

Corteiz is a London-based label that Wikipedia and Snobette date to 2017, founded by Clint Ogbenna, known as Clint 419. Its logo is a silhouette of Alcatraz Island. On its own store in October 2026 its prices included a £35 tee and a £250 Bolo down jacket. So we've split the picks by what you're actually after.

What 'like Corteiz' usually means

People looking for alternatives tend to want one of three things: the look (graphic tees, hoodies, tracksuits and puffer jackets), the drop culture (a label whose releases people queue or refresh for), or the British street identity. Most brands deliver one of these. Few deliver two.

Complex lists Corteiz's early range as T-shirts, sweatsuits, beanies, socks and Bolo puffer jackets, with hoodies in the first drop, and says drops are announced vaguely with the location revealed by GPS coordinates on the day. Wikipedia says the website was accessible only through a password released with each drop; when we checked in October 2026 the brand's own store showed a standing range priced in pounds, with no password gate or drop countdown visible. It has also worked with Nike: Highsnobiety lists the Corteiz x Nike Air Max 95 as a March 2023 release at £169, and Hypebeast reported that Clint 419 was ordered to pay Nike £1,850 in March 2021 in a dispute over the Corteiz name's resemblance to the Cortez sneaker.

Corteiz store prices are in pounds: a Corroded Island tee at £35, a Write-Off heavyweight tee at £65, a Lundun Stitch zip hoodie at £120 and a Bolo down jacket at £250 (regular prices, October 2026). We call a pick cheaper only where it lists a comparable item in pounds. Where a brand prices in dollars, euros or Australian dollars, or the item differs, we say 'no like-for-like price' and show its own prices instead.

9 brands like Corteiz, ranked by how close they get

  1. #1 · $$–$$$

The nearest match in scene. Its About page calls it the UK's lifestyle, music and photography brand and dates it to 2013. Highsnobiety covered its ten-year anniversary pop-up in East London, with Corteiz, A COLD WALL, Daily Paper and Slawn among the brands involved; the article does not state the year.

    What it shares

    • A UK label selling through its own web store with dated drops: Hypebae reported a February 2021 drop due on 5 February at 7 p.m. GMT
    • Hoodies, jackets and logo pieces: Complex described that drop as a P+F Parka Jacket, a bucket hat, a Logo Knitted Sweater and its trademark Caution Hoodie
    • A shared scene: Corteiz was among the brands involved in the anniversary pop-up

    Where it differs

    • The brand describes itself as at its core a photography and filmmaking project, and its store also sells books, magazines, a poster, a rug and a cushion
    • Highsnobiety says it does not do collaborations often and is selective about whom it picks
    Price vs Corteiz
Cheaper like for like, in pounds. On its own store (checked October 2026) the Smile tee was £30 against Corteiz tees at £35 and £65. The Emblem zip hoodie is listed at £110 regular, £50 on sale, against the Corteiz Lundun Stitch zip hoodie at £120; the OG reflective hoodie was £50. We leave sale prices out of the comparison, and the PLACES+FACES jackets are different garments from the Bolo down jacket.

The closest London scene match, at slightly lower prices.

Smile T-shirt £30 (official store, Oct 2026) · OG reflective hoodie (black) £50 (official store, Oct 2026) · Emblem zip hoodie (navy) £50 sale price (regular £110) (official store, Oct 2026) · The Places Mac jacket (black sample) £70 sale price (regular £180) (official store, Oct 2026) · Technical track pants (orange sample) £50 sale price (regular £115) (official store, Oct 2026) · PLACES+FACES: The Book £60 (official store, Oct 2026)

  2. #2 · $$–$$$

A London skate label founded in 2009 according to Wikipedia, whose triangular tri-ferg logo was designed by Fergus Purcell. Business of Fashion says Palace was sold only through independent London boutiques at launch, and that Supreme later carried it in New York and Los Angeles.

    What it shares

    • A London origin and a signature logo: Palace's tri-ferg, Corteiz's Alcatraz silhouette
    • Nike collaborations: Wikipedia says Nike was announced in October 2025 as a first-time collaboration for Palace; Corteiz released the Air Max 95 with Nike in March 2023
    • A long list of collaborations, including Umbro, Reebok and adidas

    Where it differs

    • Skate roots, with a look Wikipedia describes as heavily influenced by 90s pop culture
    • A wider range on its own shop, from jeans to jackets and small accessories such as a keyring
    Price vs Corteiz
Mixed. Palace's own shop (pounds, no sale prices shown, checked October 2026) lists tees at £46, £48, £58 and £68, against Corteiz tees at £35 and £65, so the ranges overlap, with Palace's starting higher. Palace's Big Ripstop Jacket at £188 and Recon Jacket at £268 are different garments from the £250 Bolo down jacket, so there is no like-for-like jacket price. The Stencil Crew, listed under sweatshirts, is £118, and we found no Palace-site hoodie price.
    Best for
A London logo label with a long collaboration history.

  3. #3 · $$$–$$$$

A British label founded in 2011 by brothers George and Mike Heaton in Manchester, according to its own site. Drapers names George Heaton as founder and creative director and Paul Spencer as CEO since June 2022.

    What it shares

    • A British label that ties its identity to its home city: Heaton told Drapers about Manchester that it is home and the DNA of the brand's aesthetics
    • Started small with logo basics: the brand says its first product, in 2012, was 20 box logo T-shirts
    • Hoodies and caps in the range, such as the Owners Club hoodie and 247 trucker cap

    Where it differs

    • A wide wholesale network: Drapers counts over 150 stockists, including Flannels, Saks, Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom, and reports revenue split 70% direct-to-consumer and 30% wholesale
    • A broader range: mainline menswear, womenswear, the 247 performance line and Alpha, Reptor and Viper footwear
    • Flagship stores in London, Manchester and Los Angeles
    Price vs Corteiz
No like-for-like price. HBX lists the Owners Club hoodie at £75, reduced from £160, but that is a sale at a retailer and a different hoodie from the £120 Corteiz zip hoodie on its own store. Represent's US shop lists caps in dollars ($110 for the Represent x '47 MLB cap, $85 for the 247 trucker cap, checked October 2026), against a Corteiz New Era cap at £50. Heaton told The Gentleman's Journal that consumers who do not want to spend £1,000 on a hoodie have shopped down to Represent.
    Best for

Highsnobiety describes Sp5der as founded as SP5DER Worldwide in 2019 by Young Thug, and Wikipedia says it operates in Los Angeles with roots in Atlanta. Highsnobiety says its early history began with a series of sold-out hoodies.

    • Hoodie-led, graphic streetwear with sweats and denim, such as the Heavy Web sweatpant and Rhinestone Web denim
    • Hype around releases: sold-out hoodies in its early history
    • A sneaker collaboration with a major sportswear brand: Complex reported a Sp5der x adidas Supermodified Superstar in February 2026

    Where it differs

    • A celebrity-founder brand: Complex says Young Thug's influence is unmistakable but his exact role is a bit of a mystery
    • A luxury-meets-punk visual identity, per Complex, and a runway show at New York Fashion Week on 8 September 2024, which Complex called the brand's first runway show
    • Sells through kingspider.co in US dollars and names no retail stores
    Price vs Corteiz

  5. #5 · $$$–$$$$

Founded in 2020 by Sean 'Seanie' Holland and Joseph 'Juice' Pendleton. Complex describes bold, all-over flame graphic tees and acid-washed sweats as its defining characteristics.

    What it shares

    • Drop-driven demand: Complex reports Capsule 10, in 2023, sold $2 million in 30 minutes
    • Collaboration with a sportswear giant: an exclusive Hellstar x Adidas Superstar was released at ComplexCon 2025
    • Boutiques and events: stocked by luxury boutiques such as Patron of the New and The Webster; Complex lists Corteiz one-day activations in New York, Atlanta, Washington D.C. and Los Angeles in 2025

    Where it differs

    • Los Angeles rather than London, with dark cosmic vibes, bold graphics and a punk attitude, per Hypebeast
    • Cut-and-sew pieces such as airbrushed leather jackets from Capsule 11
    Price vs Corteiz
No like-for-like price. StockX shows dollar retail prices of $120 for the Sports Core gel logo tee (June 2024) and $300 for the Studios zip hoodie (September 2024), while Corteiz lists in pounds. The closest dollar pair is shorts: the Corteiz Alcatraz cargo shorts at US$105 retail on StockX (released 2 August 2023) and the Hellstar flame short at $100 on StockX with no release date shown. They are different shorts from different dates, so we do not treat that as like for like.

SW Londoner reported that Yusuf Yücel founded derschutze in 2017, at age 18. The brand's own story describes him as a German designer with Turkish roots who grew up in East Hamburg.

    What it shares

    • The same founding year as Corteiz, 2017
    • Hype around limited releases: SW Londoner says the first products sold out the same day and reported a queue outside the Soho store in May 2022
    • A London shop: the brand lists a store at 27 Peter St, W1F

    Where it differs

    • Embroidery, lenticular printing for 3D effects and heat-reactive designs, from a founder who grew up in East Hamburg
    • The brand says its collections draw on different cultures, traditions, religions, landscapes and artistic movements
    • Stores in London, New York and Berlin, and online prices in euros
    Price vs Corteiz

D5 Magazine and FashionUnited both say Cold Culture was founded in Madrid in 2021 by Andrés Varela and Martina Merry. FashionUnited describes the brand as digital-native when it began.

    What it shares

    • An online-first start that grew into shops: the first store opened in Madrid in November 2023 and the first abroad in Amsterdam in December 2024, per FashionUnited
    • Logo and graphic sweatshirts, relaxed-fit trousers, basic T-shirts and technical urban pieces, per Neo2, which describes the aesthetic as oversize silhouettes with urban influences
    • Brand collaborations: Ford announced one on 23 February 2024, and Kappa has a motoball-inspired apparel collaboration with the brand

    Where it differs

    • Spanish, with a stated goal of becoming a global streetwear brand
    • The coldculture.com domain is not the brand: when we checked it described a Thai gelato producer, and the store data is served from coldcultureworldwide.com
    Price vs Corteiz
No like-for-like price. The store's product data (checked October 2026) prints plain numbers with no currency, for example 79.00 for a hoodie and 45.00 for a tee. They are probably euros, but we could not confirm it, so we do not compare them with Corteiz's pounds.

SNKRDUNK Magazine and Man of Many say Mertra was founded by Aron Williams in Melbourne, Australia, and is best known for heat and water reactive puffer jackets. The founding year is unconfirmed: both publications say 2022, while our directory lists 2020.

    What it shares

    • Puffer outerwear as a signature, which sits next to Corteiz's Bolo puffer jackets
    • Drops and events: SNKRDUNK says the brand uses Instagram, pop-up events and exclusive online drops
    • A first collaboration, with Umbro, available through mertra.com from 31 October 2025

    Where it differs

    • Technical, colour-changing jackets: SNKRDUNK says the Heat Reactive Puffer Jacket changes colour in response to heat or water
    • Man of Many places Mertra in a mid-range price tier, without figures

    • A sister line of the original Fear of God label created by Jerry Lorenzo, per END.
    • END. says it is more accessible in price than the mainline's luxury offerings, and Hypebae says it is known for lower price points than Fear of God products
    Price vs Corteiz

A note on dupes and replicas

We don't list replicas or sellers of Corteiz look-alikes. In our research we found no source describing counterfeit Corteiz or how common it is, so we make no claim about that. The brand's own store is corteiz.com. Check the domain before you buy: for example, coldculture.com is not Cold Culture's store.

Corteiz has itself been in a name dispute: Hypebeast reported that Clint 419 was ordered to pay Nike £1,850 in March 2021 over the Corteiz name's resemblance to the Cortez sneaker. A genuine alternative is a different brand with its own designs; the brands above are chosen on that basis.

What is a legit check?

Frequently asked questions

What are the best brands like Corteiz?

In our assessment, PLACES+FACES, Palace and Represent come closest as British labels, with Sp5der and Hellstar closest for US drop-day hoodie hype. For puffer jackets, Mertra is the nearest we found.

Are there cheaper brands like Corteiz?

Only one pick lets us say so like for like, in pounds. PLACES+FACES lists a £30 tee and a £110 regular-price zip hoodie, against Corteiz at £35 and £65 for tees and £120 for a zip hoodie. Palace's tees are £46 to £68, so the ranges overlap, with Palace's starting higher. Hellstar, Sp5der, Represent's caps and Essentials list in other currencies, and Cold Culture's numbers print no currency, so we make no price claim for them.

Is there a Corteiz dupe?

We don't list replicas. We found no brand on this page that sells Corteiz designs, and no source on counterfeit Corteiz. Corteiz sells through corteiz.com.

Who owns Corteiz?

Wikipedia's infobox lists Clint Ogbenna as owner, without a citation. Complex reports revenue of $58 million in 2024, citing The New York Times, but does not state ownership or investors. We found no other source on ownership.

How do Corteiz drops work?

Complex says drops are announced vaguely and the location is revealed by GPS coordinates on the day. Our October 2026 check of the brand's store found a standing range with no password gate visible.

Which brands like Corteiz are from the UK?

PLACES+FACES calls itself a UK brand, Palace is a London brand, and Represent is from Manchester.

How we chose these brands

We started from the directory's brands and used its style, product and price data to shortlist nine whose look, drop culture or origin overlap with Corteiz, keeping only brands for which we had already researched and checked a record. Facts such as founding, ownership and prices come from the numbered sources below, each opened and checked on 8 October 2026. Rankings, 'what it shares' and 'best for' are our editorial judgement: apart from the PLACES+FACES pop-up report, no reputable source we found compares these brands to Corteiz directly. Price comparisons are like for like only where we found a comparable Corteiz item in the same currency (pounds, own-store regular prices checked October 2026); otherwise we say so. Prices are single snapshots from retailers and brand sites and will change.
